Sylvia Ross Report 9 Nov 2006 14:00

Yes I do remember June, used to love the plays and serials i.e. Forsythe Saga etc. Personally, I'm not interested in programmes about winning money i.e. Deal or No Deal, watched it once - never again.

That is true too June. Never been materialistic - never will be; never had money, don't want money. As long as I can eat, pay my bills, buy myself the odd CD/book etc. I am totally content. Needs and wants June... needs and wants.

Yep it sure is awful. What surprises me more than anything is the depths to which people will sink, just to get themselves on TV. Whatever happened to people's pride??? We can't all be turning into slobs can we? Yet apparently the TV people tell us that viewers love this kind of entertainment?? Is that so? They've got to be joking. Bring back TV programmes of quality I say - raise the standard not lower it year by year. Karen x

So Sylvia why are so many not happy any more? June.

Sylvia Ross

Sylvia Ross Report 9 Nov 2006 14:09

I think it could be because these days money is so easily got holdl of.... i.e. credit cards, loans, mortgages - the old 'live now pay later' syndrome. Think it will make them happy.... Real happiness is being content with the simple things.

Had 6 weeks down in Devon/Cornwall in the summer; boy did I enjoy it. Fantastic scenery, good folk, just great. Maybe the problem is June that a lot of people want the 'quick fix' thinking it will make them happy (and I don't mean drugs etc.).
