Sioux If I though my cousin's would let me kidnap the kiddies for the night and take them to church, I'd do it. But think my cousin may take the 4 yr ols and baby up to the parish church any way as it's only about 10 mins on foot from their house. The olther cousin's girlfriend is a little nervous about leveing the baby with anyone as she doesn't really know our family. Money boxes sound good and I would deffinately put money in them as it's a family tradition to put at least 1 coin in handbags, purses or money boxes. Might run into town later and see what the card shop has then email my Aunt and my Uncle (different sides of the family) and sound them out as 3 of the 4 kids are their grandchilren.

Lunar Card factory, sells money boxes. They are little pigs so traditional shaped. And you can get them with the kids name on them, so you'll be ok so long as the name isn't too rare. And the best bit is they are only 99p. They will be able to keep them as well, so as keepsakes are fine. Then put a fiver into each.

good idea sioux lol I always made a point of taking my 3 to the christingle service then at least they know that christmas is not just about having pressies but its about thinking of others and helping those less fortunate. Made sure they had an envelope each to put some of their own pocket money in. OC thanks for the tip about M and S I was thinking of getting that Madeline paper doll from Amazon for grand daughter Madeline but will have to look at the ones in M and S now. Fairy wings and magic wand sets are cheap in Tesco. Looked at them yesterday. In a tin with colouring book under £3.00 I think it was £2.95. Thought about buying one but there is a crawler in the same house and she has chewed so many pieces of jigsaws that I will have to think carefully about small pieces.

I found that my little one one just liked looking at the pony stuff......so I would suggest anything that is arty..........make a basket of paper and glue and glitter........mine still love it even though they are older. Imagination is a wonderful thing. Hope that helps. xx

I think Woolworths have a special offer on games at the moment. I'm pretty sure I saw a TV ad about it. You might pick up a bargain in there. Books or games would go down well with the older child.......but you might need to check with parents that she hasn't already got them. My girls loved little books with extra bits in them like the Jolly Postman books. One of their favourite toys about that age was Pop up Pirate. I was in a Tesco store a few days ago and spotted some tins with themed games and toys in them. I think they looked reasonably priced but I didn't look very closely as I don't have little ones to buy for any more. Dressing up is popular with little ones........fairy wings and a wand might be well received. Sue

Lunar How about a money box for the little ones, with some money in it! Cut out dolls for the 4 year old? We were discussing these somewhere else, and apparently M and S do a lovely book of these with different outfits. Don't know if they still make them, but my girls adored Play People - the girl's equivalent of Lego. OC

did think of clothes for the babies but 1 definately has 3 think winter coats (different sizes) and loads of jumpers, another has been given a think all in one winter sleep suit coat thing and the last has 'inherated' alot of baby stuff With the big one have no idea what she likes as haven't seen her since August and she was on her way out with daddy when I arrived to see her mammy and baby. Idealy I have about 10 quid to spend on each child ***Current thoughts***:- biggy.... Magic paints (no mess), make up set (like the old Tinkerbell ones - anyone remember then?), a charm bracelet (if budget can be streched) or a story book (?with her name in?) Babies.... Teddy, book as above, some sort of keep sake.
