I think I would prefer burial-because I know how important it is to me to be able to visit the graves of those I have lost, place flowers and tokens with loving care-glad I have the chance to still do something for them.

Paul, that sounds delightfull-I have the next best thing, I have made a memorial garden for my Mum, Dad, Mam in law and Son. I have filled it with things that either come from them or remind me of them.

We have a lovely woodland burial site just outside Norwich, where your ashes from the crematorium are buried in a wooden casket, some are like an acorn, and then a tree planted there, it has just won an award for best burial ground or something. I would like to be cremated and my ashes buried out of the casket in my daughter's grave, where I have the burial rights for another 42 years. Unfortunately there is a lot of rigmarole to do that so not sure if it will happen. I am sure if my son just popped along there and dug a little hole, poured me in, and then planted another rose bush on there, no one would know!

Same as Heather. Cremated and then ashes scattered where Mum and Dad are. Strangely it's a comforting thought. Linda
