No. Too commercialsied. Too much booze for a lot of people. Today's gift tomorrow's car boot!! OK for kids but even then a lot get plenty of presents but little affection hugs etc from parents.

Its the only thing I like about this time of year Raggy.....I'm not normally a misery, but I do love Spring and Summer, and am not keen on the dark nights and cold weather......

Sylvia Ross

Sylvia Ross Report 30 Oct 2006 17:38

No, not keen. Don't like winter, and the dark days and nights. Christmas is for the littlies - just a pain in the bum when you're older...

Margaret Report 30 Oct 2006 17:14

No don't like Christmas at all. To me it is just like any other Sunday and I'm not too fond of Sundays. Added to which I find New Years Eve most depressing. I sort of come back to normal about the second week of January.

I love it when winter has really set in, but not this weather we are having now never know what to wear............... I love christmas watching the christmas school play, watching the old films, and my childrens faces when we get the tree out. christmas eve to about 29th is magical. As for NEW years eve I HATE IT....................!

get really stressed doing the christmas pressie shopping cos the list just doesnt seem to shrink. Once the pressies are out of the way then I enjoy the food buying part and the dinner prep and the pressie opening. Christmas day is a breeze cos its all done, unless the pots and parsnips have a hissy and dont want to brown!!
