I do ramble on a bit, sorry! It's constantly changing though and new info is always possible. Last night I was sent a transcription of a headstone that contradicts some info I had on OH's Portsoy Woods. I need a week there to search the library, registrar's and just to speak to people! Finding new info is weird - for every answer there's two new questions!! |

Keith, your tree - same as everyone's - never ends! Life revolves, someone is born (and added to tree), someone dies and that entry is added. Someone gets married - again a new entry. You know me - if there's a change of occupation or residence I add it!! Knowing names and stuff is good but you also know a lot about what they did, how they lived etc - but we don't know everything, yet that is! I'm looking forward now - we've done the 'back' bit and it's relatively easy - now we need to find 1903 onwards, and the next census will help us there. Once they're all traced you can chop your tree up for firewood if you like - till then, you need to nurture it and check it regularly! |
