Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 26 Oct 2006 02:47

Well done Aileen, you were quick thinking. If I am ever walking anywhere alone, I always have my longest finget through my key ring with the keys at the back of my hand, not in my pocket in case I can't get them out quickly enough (don't want to rip my pocket lol) I like to think I could get a quick backhander in their face and I could always say I was caught off balance and threw my arm out to steady myself!!! Hope I would have the courage and quickwittedness to act as you did. Bravo! Liz

Winter Drawers Ever Near

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 25 Oct 2006 21:49

Hi all, Many thanks for those kind words. Who called me Tiger. That brings back memories when I accidently hit an over enthusiastic male partner across the eye while playing badminton many moons ago. He invaded my space.... honest. Was supposed to take granddaughter home but we were having so much fun I have kept her overnight. Didn't want to sleep in the cot so is in the big bed with nanny. I've escaped for a little while. Hubby asked if I had a nice day. I said it was interesting. God help me if he or g/daughter's parent finds out what happened. Might save it as an after dinner howler sometime in the future... like 20yrs from now! Got a few of them saved up but this one takes the biscuit. Hi Shelli, keep the beggers on your side of town which is also rather nice. They better not try their luck in my house. I've got a vicious tortoise and stick insect! Then again my house looks like it has been burgled. So much junk for the car boot in every room! Elaine and others who said they were laughing. I was myself but then again maybe it was hysterics! Put g/daughter to bed and had a nap myself. Think I needed it. Reaction set in I think.Oh still don't believe it happened. Not advocating violence but the best weapon for me is my door keys. Always have them in my pocket and link each one through my fingers. A couple of yale keys in the chops hurts as that little b****r has found to his cost. Will be in B&Q buying pollyfilla to fill in the holes in his cheeks no doubt. Why is my life so uninteresting...... Aileen xxxx

Aileen, you couldn't have done it to a more deserving person. *sniggers at the thought of the human specimen trying to leg it after being pepper-sprayed*

Little Lost

Little Lost Report 25 Oct 2006 19:00

Good for you but I think it needs reporting to the police. If he was not wary of mugging you with a baby then who is to say he may not threaten a baby to get the mothers purse next time. These people especially if drug addicts get desperate.

TOR Report 25 Oct 2006 18:25

Aileen, glad you're okay. decision to report or not is yours but if you do report it can I suggest you say you sprayed him with hairspray, perfume, something that you can legally carry in your bag. Even if police know you're not telling the full truth they'll side with you. The police also get frustrated with the toerags in society. Take care and whatever you do be happy T.O.R. ;~)

Aileen Glad it ended all ok. Just be glad you live in the posh part of town lol, not so nice over this side, we're currently enjoying a spate of burglaries tho if they want to take anything from this house, they'll have to bring it in to take it out LOL.

Ha, I bet he won't be bragging to his mates! Well done and I wouldn't have gone to the police either. I'm a placid person but when it comes to my child needing protection I would rip their head off!!! You are very feisty indeed. Lorrainexx

Janet in Yorkshire Report 25 Oct 2006 16:42

Aileen, well done - great presence of mind. I think you should report it for the sake of others. You were merely defending you and yours. No court would even entertain the idea of you being prosecuted. As for the thug, well he's hardly likely to go boasting to his mates, if he wants to keep his street cred. Seen off by a granny? Think you can be in our gang? No way Laddie - get back to yer lego. Jay

AnninGlos Report 25 Oct 2006 16:39

Well done he got what he deserved. But not sure about reporting it because it could backfire on you, I am sure the pepper spray is illegal. You see it so often where the victim who 'turns' is prosecuted by our PC law. you could maybe get the local paper to report it but ask them not to publish your name. Ann Glos

Aileen. how brave of you. Sometimes the thinking about it afterwards.... the what if syndrome I call it.....can be more nerve wracking than the attack. Do take care and at least tell your family what happened so they can keep an eye on you. Well done lass. Jean x.
