I used to go alot to S / church and i've had lot's of private sitting's, some really good and other's a waste of time. Five year ago i woke in the night aware of someone standing at the side of my bed, all i could focus on a was blue jumper, mum's ( who had passed away 20 years before ) favorite colour, she leaned across and stroked my arm and the most amazing feeling swept over me, the next morning as soon as i woke it came straight back to me with the same amazing feeling. Three week's later my dear old Dad passed suddenly and unexpectedly away. Nothing or no one will ever convince me that my mum did'nt come to me that night to comfort and prepare me for what was about to happen. Sue x |

I would love just one message that didn't talk about my 'cockney' family. and London connections..lol! I have absolutely none. I was grew up in Essex, so talk with the accent, no-one else did. I have no Georges, Bills, Elsies or any other common name, even back to the g.g.g.grandparents. I so want to think there is more after this life but after 18 years trying to find a link, I'm feeling disillusioned. |

Lol Lol Lol Brian, yes appreciate your comment, but I can assure you that I have NEVER been on any medication, not for hearing voices that is, - sorry just my sense of humour... It is very difficult at the time, but in my case I was helped by the fact that spiritualism was accepted in my family as ' Normal' Grandma (paternal side) attended the church regularly, and the Gt Grandma I saw had a reputation for reading the old tea leaves in the village where she lived, so I guess I inherited the gift in my case, my daughter is also very aware of spirit but has chosen not to do anything about it for now, she is still relatively young at 31 so time for her yet. |

Thanks Julie Very interesting. It must frighten some people suddenly hearing voices or images. Wonder how many have been given medication thinking they were going strange. |

Brian & Jeff How did I know I was a medium ... hmmmn When I was 4 years old I nearly died by getting a sugared almond stuck in my throat, my Grandma stuck her finger down my throat and broke the nut in 2 and saved my life but when I came around I wouldn't go to Gran I kept asking for my other Gran... a few days later I saw a photo of Grandmas Mum , my Gt Gran Hannah and that was the Gran I wanted - she died 2 years before I was born, this was my first experience of seeing spirit, from that time onwards I saw spirit as clear as humans, it took me a good few years to understand what was happening to me, I eventually found my way to the spiritualist church on my other Grandmas ( paternal side) advice and for weeks on end sat watching all that went on, I had a good few messages saying that I should be doing this etc, which at the time I just laughed at!! but eventually entered into a circle to learn how to control & develop the voices and images I was getting at all times of the day and night, it all began from there .... |

Julie, I have the same question that Brian asked. I would have thought that being a medium is a natural skill, not a taught one. From the experience I had last week it was very obvious that by and large the mediums were fishing, and the resultant 'connection' was just auto-suggestion. It was also too uniform - one person from the back on the right, one from the back on the left, one from the front right and one from front left... Wasn't convinced, which is why i need to try another one... |

Hi Carol I think everyone is probably the same on the subject but I do believe we can. I used to mess about with an ouja? board in my teens with friends, got scary on occasions. I'm sure I got my dad on one occasion when I was about 20 with my sister. I asked a question only he would know and got the right answer!!!. |

I had a very strange experience, back in 1960’s, which unnerved me, so have always believed that the dead can be contacted & do try to contact us, but have been a bit scared to deliberately try to contact anyone on the other side. |

Thanks Julie - How did you know you were a medium? Is it something you are born with or can anyone develop the skill? |

Hello Brian I have been a spiritualist medium for over 20 years now, I served my time in the local spiritualist Church both on the committee and in teaching in an open circle for up and coming mediums. The only advice I can give you is to always go to a church and listen to as many mediums as you can, and YES listen carefully as to what is told to you if you are fortunate to have the medium link with you. In my time I have never charged for a reading as I believe it is a god given gift, to be able to act as a telephone link between this world and your loved ones in the next, you can't just ask that A B or C come to you it doesn't work that way Lol. Regards Julie |

Thanks Kathy. I have heard you must really listen as things said as they might not mean much at the time but may fall into place later. Brian.. |

Brian my Grandad and i were very close and sadly he died when i was 17 i missed him so much but every night when iwent to bed he was there at my feet it stayed that way for a year. When i went to the S/Church i always knew when i would get a message as i always saw him I know he is my spirit guide and i s/times see him with a cloak and the hood is over his face. He will be there for me when it,s time for me to go so i am not afraid. June. |
