There were no number 1 records the year I was born, but here are a few songs which were popular that year: Good Night Sweetheart, I Don't Know Why, Just One More Chance, Lady Of Spain, Marta, Nevertheless, Sally, Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams, All Of Me. And many many more ! If anyone is interested in songs of yesteryear, I have a book of Selected Titles of Popular Songs from 1880 - 1974, Indexed by year, also an Alphabetical Index, some Scottish and Irish Titles too. |
