We can see it's you Andy..... by hovering the mouse over someones user name their membership number shows up along the status bar at the bottom of the screen. But who checks that??!! As you can see it's relatively easy for someone to post something with malicious intent appearing to be someone else. Curiosity killed the cat remember. Surfice it to say if you weren't involved then you don't need to be raking it all up again, it serves no useful purpose..... and while people keep harping on about it, this site will never move forward and get over the ructions. I agree there, Paltalk is well moderated, BY USERS! My OH used to wear a hat, (@), and enjoyed bouncing troublemakers, or taking their mic off them. He hasnt used it for a while, but still looks in now and then. To be honest, that is the level of moderation I have been asking for on here, I wouldn't mind moderating, and I know others wouldn't either.

It's all a load of tripe. This use to be a great board gone down hill the last week in my opinion. Too many people too many easyways round things. Who changed wot name to who, who's impersonating who? bla bla bla bla bla. What happened to having a laugh? eh! All friends together the support and everything. Well Catherine, the main reason I subscribe is 'cos of my interest in family history, and that remains unabated. So I shall keep up my subscriptions for the time being. When I stop giving and receiving info I'll have a rethink. It would be nice if the boards had a little greater depth of intellect, but the boards are not my main reason for being a member.

You are very fortunate to have seen nothing to give you concern. At present I am having a PM investigated that I believe has come from an account that has been hacked. If you want to see posts that were on the success board last night, then PM me.

If there is a delay in replying to you, it is because I may be wary of the poster's name, and I am not sitting at the computer all the time.

Andy I understand perfectly what Lynda is saying, ie that you're very lucky if you haven't seen anything nasty on here! I also think that if it was 'just' someone using someone else's name, nobody would be quite so bothered, but there are actually a few people who have conducted a very worrying and upsetting bullying campaign on a small number of members.
