Ah, Fiona, I'm so sorry, it must be heartbreaking for you, not getting any of these delicious fish and chips. I won't mention the fantastic taste any more, or the pickled onions in Malt vinegar, bread and butter, and a drink. It must be very painful for you. Baz xx

Hiya Catherine, Batter bits. All they are, are the bits of batter that have broken away from the cooking fish, and slowly filling the frier. My chippy used to sell the bits for threepence, old money lol. They were gorgeous

Baz, did you say pickled onions??? In proper MALT vinegar?? *Grabs shoes and coat and runs to the nearest airport* Should be there in about 10 hours, if I can get a flight pretty quick. Keep everything warm for me!!! Fiona. x

Well you've got my mouth watering now!! Michigan, can't even get a good bit of fish!! Used to stay with my aunt in the summer up in Blackpool, used to love going into Fleetwood early in the morning when the boats came in. Guess it's beef burgers for me tonight, and the silly little fries. Fiona. x
