Isn't it a Scottish thing? I seem to think it's popular up there. There is a chippy near me though that has fried Mars Bars on the menu! YUK!

My area is Teesside (not exactly a county) and it's most popular takeaway dish is a 'parmo' (parmesan), which not many people out of the area seem to have heard of. Flattened pork or chicken fillet covered in breadcrumbs, deep fried, then covered with cheese sauce and grated cheese and grilled. Served with chips and salad. Kath. x
