The subject for todays board of shame is Wardrobe malfunctions and hideous outfits. What is the worst outfit you have ever worn? What did you think you looked like when you wore it, and looking at photos now, what did you look like in reality? Or, like Tony, Urban Girl and infamously Janet Jackson, have you had a major 'wardrobe malfunction'? As always, I won't tell a soul xx |

I seem to have spent the 70's and especially the 80's having wadrobe malfunctions. 70's I seemed to want to dress like my hero's the bay city rollers and would insist on wearing stripey socks with 'bay city rollers' running up the side. Not to mention me flares with tartan up the side. I also had a denim jacket with a bit E on the back cos I fancied Eric. 80's-has to be my new romantic hairstyle and big blouses with pads. I was so smitten with Tony Hadley out of Spandau Ballet. But then Madonna came along and after seeing her at the hacienda I went all lace and frilly. Not nice at all. But the smiths saved me. catherine xx |

In my ultra slim days, it was the fashion to wear the shiny lycra trousers........i went to a party to impress Colin (no not George this time lol).......i went dressed in white shiny lycra's, white boob tube (god i was 19 seemed so adult at the time) really thought i was the bees knees especially as Colin asked me to dance........big mistake.....he was 6'3 and my boob tube couldnt cope with me stretching up and i had no idea it had slipped....the whole dance topless really..........and no, he didnt think to mention it! |

In the 60's I had a rather fetching black and white zebra striped PVC coat with matching hat, I thought I looked briil Then one night a guy asked if he could put my coat on the road, to stop the traffic!!!!!!!! (We had been drinking I hasten to add) Then of course there were the Hot Pants, and those dresses that laced up down the front. Oh dear, have a horrible sinking feeling, guess I am back on the board of shame (again) (What on earth can she come up with for tomorrow) ;-))) |

My whole time in the 80's I was a walking disaster. But I remember distictly wearing to school (even though uniform was compulsory) black and florescent pink stripy tights with odd yellow and green florescent ankle socks. But in my defence most of the girls did the odd florescent socks I just went a bit further. I also had my hair done like John Taylor from Duran Duran. Blonde at the front and brown at the back. Some of the boys said I looked like a seagull had pooped on my head, and for years after called me seagull. Jackie |

OMG here we go again! In my defence, I feel I must point out that I was about 6 at the time. I can remember wearing a homemade pink crocheted dress to a party once. Think at the time I felt like the bees knees, but looking at the photos I just want to curl up - especially as my hair used to be very red and there was abit of a clash. Sharon xx |

well here we go when i was a teenager in the 70s one of the fashions was fish tail parka coats and monkey boots, all my mates had then, and i so desperatley wanted one, money was tight for mum and dad and to be honest mum put practicality and warmth before fashion, i was the only one in my group of friends that didnt have them, i went on and on and on at mum till one day i came home from school one day and she said ive got you a new coat and shoes for school my heart missed a beat at the thort of the parka and monkey boots till she fetched into the living room wait for it a grey duffle coat and a pair of Tuff black lace up flat shoes Well i was horrified i cried and cried but she was having none of i had to wear them, so the next day off iwent to school in them and i got to the bottom of the road and took them off put my pumps on my feet and carefully hid the duffle and shoes in a bush, i did this each day for a week or so, picking them up on the way home and putting them on untill the afternoon came when i couldnt find them somebody had nicked them had to go home and confess all, what a good hiding i got and grounded for a month never did get me parka and monkey boots xxLynnxx |

I understand what you mean computer blonde when I was 6 I had a red tinge to my hair it was long and in ringlets and I have a photo of me in a bright yellow shirt with huge collars and a orange jumper. This was a photo in school so my mum knew about it but still chose to dress me like it!! And people wonder why I hate having my photo taken. lol Jackie |

Strump Yes we all used to dress up to go to the local disco for teenagers dressed like mini Madonna's with lacy tights, mini skirts, crop tops, bangles, huge earrings and tulle in our hair like a hairband. No wonder my mum used to tell me your not going out dressed like that. (we found our way round that though) lol Jackie |

Pmsl. You spoke too soon Strump. I have been out for a bit but am now back and have chosen a few of the horrors for the board and surprise surprise you have made it AGAIN - watch out Dee she is catching up with you lol !!! TJ your purple and yellow coat sounds dreadful, I would usually have excused you from the board due to your tender age but as you chose it yourself !!! - Up you go !!! lol Catherine and Jackie, It sounds like we had the same childhood/teenage wardrobes lololol (so glad it wasn't just me !!!) Strump - what can I say!!! White lycra trousers and white boob tube !!!!!!! You are on the board for that for sure !!!PMSL DEE !!!!!! My winner so far !!! Zebra striped PVC. LOLOLOLOL Sharon I will excuse you from the boards as the pink crochet dress sounds quite cute!! Lynn - I had something similar happen to me, but I think the fact that you didn't end up wearing the parka and monkey boots works in your favour in the long run !!!! |

ok will start with oh-in the 70's his dad used to make him wear brown platform shoes, brown bell-bottomed chords, pink paisley patterned shirt with wide collars to the shoulders and pink paisley kipper tie.he has destroyed all evidence.lol as for me i used to have rah,rah skirts, ankle warmers and ruffled white blouses-typical 80's teenager. worst item was from clockhouse at c&a -black & yellow checked trousers(huge checks lol) was called bumble for weeks. now have to fess up to something else-Oriflame is still going-I was a manager for them till 18 months ago!!!! |
