they was trying to prove they were like humans, only spent all there time teaching them tricks etc. one bloke they interviewed,he as a chimp for filming etc he is currently being investigated for cruelty. a women had got a chimp cooking noodles!!!!!! at this point i turned it off. chimps are highly inteligent, but last night was all about teaching them trick, trying to make them act like humans, instead of a chimp

Didn't watch it - the title put me off. Chimps AREN'T humans, they're chimps, and doubtless better left to be chimps. What on earth has happened to Horizon lately - dumbed down like everything else it seems!

QUOTE >a women had got a chimp cooking noodles!!!!!! You obviously missed the point the researcher was trying to study! Sue has been working with Kanze & Panbaneesha, her BONOBO apes...NOT chimps for 30 years. And she's discovered they are learning 'culture' by immersion. They're not trained to do tricks like the poor chimp who was owned by the guy in the film industry. They have learned by example and are capable of very complex communication via the electronic symbols board. The guys who was presenting the program was attempting to show that apes share many similarities with humans and was actually campaigning for them to have more recognised rights. XX Sioux
