Susie, It is a fact that sufferers from strokes do recover a great deal if they keep up with the physio.and have the will. It's a slow process, though, and many give up through lack of support or hope . len

Susie, I am so pleased to read your good news and congratulations to your Mum for her tenacity in not giving up. How sad that the doctors gave up on your Mum and that others in the same situation, may end up on the scrapheap cos they haven't the means or the knowledge to find someone good like your Mum's physio. You should claim back from the Hospital's funds for your costs, they obviously misled you on the state of your Mum's health, if they couldn't tell she had the means to get stronger again. I hope your Mum goes from strength to strength and your Dad gets his bacon wotsit very soon. Liz

That's Brilliant News Susie. Little squashy balls wil help your Mum with her arm muscles. Physio told me to get these squashy ball when my hubby had his stroke I bought them at a cheap toy store. He had one in each hand and squeezed them 10 times and gradually built that up to 50 times every couple of hours. They did work and built his arm muscles up. I hope now you have a physio in your Mum goes from strength to strength. Suexxxxxxxx
