I don`t hold Camilla in high regard but from what I`ve read, Camilla doesn`t want to be Queen and I don`t think she wants to try and take Dianas place. As I read somewhere. Diana walked ahead of Charles and Camilla will walk behind!!! I don`t believe she should or ever will be HRH princess of wales or even Queen for that matter...but who knows xxxx |

I'd also read that although she is entitled to all the titles that Charlie has, she will use the Duchess of Cornwall. But as I don't regard Charles as the proper Prince of Wales, the title Princess of Wales is also irrelevant. As for Charles remarrying, why not? Surely everyone is entitled to their personal happiness. Camilla wouldn't be my choice, but I don't have to live with her. So long as they are happy with each other, it really has b*gg*er all to do with any one else. |

Diana was the Duchess of Cornwall; she just never used the title. Camilla will be Princess of Wales; she will just never use the title. Both are inherited from Charles and come with the wedding ring. I was under the impression most people knew about the adoption of titles and forms of address after marriage, but apparently there are several newspaper editors who need a refresher course. |

Charles has a Scottish title too. Duke of Rothesay, which will make Camilla, Duchess of Rothesay. Personally I wish they would go and get married and then.......GO AWAY FOR GOOD!!!! We don't need them. |

I think she ought to be a shamed of her self but on the whole let them get married and then clear off and let wills take over . |

Gosh! What a lot of vitriol! I will say my piece and have done. What I think (or indeed what anybody else thinks) about Charles, Diana, Camilla, Mr Parker-Bowles, Edward VIII or anyone else - is irrelevant. The monarchy exists because yonks ago the guy that decided to be king wielded the biggest axe. Then his heirs succeeded, with the help of a little axe-wielding, to his title. The only bars to being King as far as I am aware are being a Catholic. Since Charles is not a Catholic, he will be king. If Camilla is legally married to him then whatever she is called title-wise, she will be his wife. I don't see why they should live in sin or shame for the rest of their lives because Diana is dead. For heaven's sake, when she died she was supposedly blissfully happy with another man. I doubt if she bothered to think bad thoughts about Camilla and I'm certainly not going to. nell |

I've always been one to support the Royal family, it's something that we should be proud of, not alot of other countries have the pomp and ceremony that we have but this marriage is a farce. I don't think Charles should ever become King, he should follow in the footsteps of his ancestors, fine get married and then live in another Country. Camilla should not be allowed a title at all - Marriage Breaker might be a good one. William should become the next King. Diana may have been happy with 'what ever his name was' but she did blame Camilla for the break up of her marriage. |

Diana's feelings are irrelevant to the law. If marital fidelity and happiness were a requirement of the monarchy we would have been a republic centuries ago! nell |

Diana might have been most peoples dream woman, but Charles - for whatever reason - was obviously most unhappy with his life with her. As she was with him. The marriage was obviously arranged and neither had a great deal to say about it. That works in some cultures, but not in others. It would appear not to have worked here. Titles aside, what is the problem with someone having a second chance at a marriage which both partners would have chosen in the first place? Camilla is not my ideal woman, but if Charles is happy with her and she with him, let them get on with it. If anyone tried to interfere with my choice for my wife, I'd certainly put them in there place. If/when Charlie does become Chas III, then he will also become head of the CofE. I think THAT is more worthy of discussion, but as I am not CofE its not my place to pass judgement. D |

Well now!! Has anyone considered the possibility that HRH the Prince of Wales, will not take up the reins of power,so to speak, but step aside to allow William the throne, and that he, along with Camilla, might have an existance similar to that of Edward and Mrs Simpson. A title , loads of money, but no say on matters of state. |
