We live in Sussex but sometimes go to Wales for a night away, with the cold box, especially to go to Ebbw Vale to get some Sidoli's ice-cream.They sell several flavours in the outlet village in Ebbw Vale but the only place we have found to buy it is the factory in the town.At the moment we have blackcurrant and cream flavour and hazelnut and toffee but my real favourite is Turkish Delight.About time we had a night away I think. |

Crikey, Jean! You'd starve in my house! LoL I've never known anyone not like any of those things, except bananas, which I hated as a child, but I now eat on medical advice. (The vet says I can go and live at Monkey World if I eat enough bananas.) Sharron, I wish I'd known that! I was in Ebbw Vale last month - I'd love to have bought some of that ice cream, but I doubt it would have survived the 'scenic route' journey back home to Hertfordshire! CB >|< |

It travels to Chichester alright. It is in gallon boxes(or whatever size they are called now)and in the cold box they keep fine as we get lost and have a row and stop at the pub.Go to the factory shop village next time and have tasters. Our first time we had a five scooper, purely in the name of research you understand. You have to go to the factory to get the big boxes as I think they only supply catering outlets otherwise. |

Hi again CB! Wasn't ignoring you, just remembered I hadn't checked this thread for a while. It's Don Pasquale's and yes it's still there and I go quite often. Shall go in next week and see if they still do it. If they do why don't you pop up and join me in some? Daisy |

went to a dinner party at a friends many moons ago and she had made pernod and green fig ice cream - it was fab! Used to make brown bread ice cream for my pub menu and that always went down well too. As for bought ice cream - well I quite like a good old fashioned cornish one. |

Coffee mmmmmmmm!!! and a Ben and Jerry's (I think) one, that I can't remember the name of, with chocolate pigs in it! I'll have to ask my daughter tomorrow what it's called! Sorry - senior blonde moment! LOL Sue xx P.S. D-in-L went to a Hungry Horse pub yesterday and had an enormous ice cream desert with lots of different Cadbury's chocolate bits in the ice cream. Curly Whirly, Dairy Milk, Crunchie etc. It cost £4.99, and she managed to eat most of it. She is taking me there next week - can't wait. |
