see below A statement issued from The Prince of Wales' press office today: 'His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has announced that in view of the continued public hostillity towards his fiancee Mrs Parker Bowles, and after consultation with various church leaders and officials, he has decided to renounce his claim to the throne. A further statement will be made from Buckingham Palace at 12.00pm today'. Mrs Parker Bowles was unavailable for comment, but in a shock announcement, her personal assistant revealed that having heard the news late last night that the Prince intended to give up his rights has eloped with Ken Barlow. It is not yet known whether Prince Charles will now be available to marry Dierdre Barlow on Friday to allow tv schedules to remain unaltered. |

Hi Nell You nearly got me going there!!! Thanks for reminding me it was April Fools Day. Have just sent the kids upstairs to ask their Dad why his car's not parked on the drive, as usual, and watched him come thundering down the stairs in a panic. Ha, ha! At least it got him out of bed!!
