Gosh this has been resurrected... Already had a similar reply, but I can confirm that beetroot turns one's pee PINK (or red, if you eat enough of it)! Further to a similar story, my dear departed mum, who, like me, had a penchant for beetroot, went to doctor because of blood in her urine. Doc referred her to hospital. Sure enough, no blood in urine....just beetroot juice! No idea how to turn it blue though.....sorry xx Dee x

From Rotten(.)Com Alternative pee colors can be produced by ingesting indigo dye or methylene blue (for blue pee); rhubarb, cascara, and senna (brown, if your pee is acidic, or pink, if your pee is alkali); L-Dopa (dark brown); and the wormwood ingredient santonin (more pink for alkaline pee). Lastly, a few people can even produce red pee by eating beets. All this leads one to wonder, if you and your buddy cross streams in the snow, could you get a new color combination? Remember, blue and red make purple.
