I once belonged to a group of people interested in the reach of the mind. The group included a lady doctor and a rabbi. I am a qualified accountant and one time auditor and then an agnostic . Another male member of the group was a croupier and there was also Kay, the late Princess Margaret's hairdresser. There were others, maybe about 8 altogether but a very diverse bunch. |

my nan and her sisters did this and my nan would not talk about it to me(and we could talk about anythin) she just warned me against it and i have never tried it cos of her. My daughters asked me once and all i did was warn them not to. they told me years later that they tried it once but got scared (hence, why they asked) never tried it again!! |

many years ago my sister bought a Ouija board for us to play at Christmas - we only played it the once and dumped it. We were all very sceptical and decided to ask it a question but of course it had to be a question to which we did not know the answer. In the end my brother in law said "Ask it what is my secretary's middle name" so we did and lo and behold it started spelling out E L I Z and that's when we stopped - Her middle name was Elizabeth. Would never touch a Ouija board with a bargepole |

Me and my friends tried to get hold of one to try out at college once about 10 yrs ago and the gym instructor was really interested in doing it as he said he'd done it before, and asked around his friends to see about getting hold of one to try. But the deputy head got wind and put a firm stop to us trying it saying we shouldn't dare to try and bla bla bla. |

While i agree if your not sure what your messing about with, Dont Do It. You must remember your messing about with something that can take you into the black arts. Ouija boards are only ok to use if you have full knowedge of how it should be done, and respected properly. If you don't know about it leave it alone. |

When I was a teen, back in the 60s, a group of us got together round a table. We had bits of paper with the alphabet and yes and no written on them - and used an upturned glass. We reckoned you could tell when someone was pushing the glass as you would hear it on the table, other times it would just glide across, almost like it wasnt touching. We ended the session very quickly when the glass suddenly shot across the table and the room and smashed against a wall. Not tried it since. |

Tried it once in the company of three friends, all with hands on the table. The glass moved to different letters; oddly didn't seem able to spell, but the fact that it did it was enough for us to stop and never do it again. |

Hello Len, yes remember the Ouija board well......it was all the rage in the late 60's and 70's and we bought one.......until then people were using pieces of paper A to Z, a YES and a NO......and a glass.... |
