They definitely went to Canada as the family over here received letters from them. This is how they knew Fred had died. Granted things passed down through generations can get distorted, but surely they wouldn't have made up something like that??? My Great Aunt Irene remembered her Grandmother Eliza very well, on the count of her being horrible, and so would remember her Uncle Fred leaving. |
