Hi Jacqueline,
Ok I see yes think Joan would be informant then. No I wont contact her.
yes that is the Charles Lock and Emily Crook I have found 3 children Albert, Frederick and Sylvia E. when Charles was baptised he was Charles Henry Lock.
I have written to Derek Baggott , Lesley Jessen and Roger Granger so hopefully someone will respond .
is there any reason why you don't get info from this site the electrol rolls are very useful I didn't realise it was there.
I will definitely try the web sites you recommended , you have taught me so much couldn't have done it without you thank you so much
kind regards
Angela :-) :-D

Angela

When someone dies, the death has to be registered. The person who registers it is the informant, and his or her details are on the death cert.

Getting a copy would give you those details, but, in this instance, as Joan outlived him, she was probably the informant.

I do not - ever - get any info from this site.

I subscribe to FMP, and use the free sites where applicable.

I will PM you Joan's 2014 address, but it may be wise to wait for possible responses from younger family members before troubling her.

Try this site for free access to electoral rolls. As results don't give years listed, cross reference name + address on a free search on 192.com
https://www.freeelectoralroll.co.uk/
Check Zoopla to see if the property was listed as sold after the last ER entry.

Deaths post 2006 aren't on line, but you could see if you can spot a name on https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/#wills
Not all Estates went to Probate!

They may not have had children..........not every couple does.

Or Stockwell may not have been Joan's maiden name. The marriage was just at the end of WW2

Joan is on the ER with Cyril to 2006, and at the same address on her own until at least 2014

Jacqueline Report 7 Apr 2015 16:22

One of the ways to find William and Charles would be to get copy birth certs for exact DOB, then look for deaths using the info.

Of course, that would only apply if they lived beyond the 3rd qtr of 1969

Finding marriages (assuming any occurred) will be less easy than for the girls. They may not have married in the area where they lived...........

BUT.;...........see if you get any response from writing to the people whose addresses I have given you.

They may have some info about them

Have you tried yet to contact the lady with the Mulfords in her GR tree?

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 7 Apr 2015 16:16

I'll send you the address for one of the Baggotts.........

Jacqueline

Jacqueline Report 7 Apr 2015 16:14

sub = subscription

If you have your tree on Ancestry, then presumably you do have one.

PM = Private message...which you have read and acknowledged

hayler Report 7 Apr 2015 16:07

Hi Jacqueline, I am sorry I don't understand your abbreviations what do you mean by ' sub ', info sent by' PM' . my main tree is on Ancestry but I was offered a months subscription for a £1 on here so thought I would try searching on Genes as well.
Ok I will look for Verda's sons on Free BDM . and then 192 I didn't think 192 gave you address thought you had to pay I suppose depends on whether they are ex directory ? thank you for info re David.
Also Jacqueline How do I go about finding my Grandfathers brothers families William and Charles as all I have is birth year and there are so many Lock's .
Kind regards,
Angela
