I know, it’s disheartening as I don’t think my mum can take anymore heartbreak. She also has MS amongst other illnesses and if it stresses her out she gets poorly. The world makes it seem so easy to locate people yet it’s hard and hurts at times. There is also a factor that maybe she doesn’t want to be found. According to a Bio half sister; she thinks there may be more children born after the last Daughter Tina! So god knows how many brothers and sisters my mum had out there that we don’t know of.

Apart from this lady wishing to take steps looking for birth family then she wont appear out of thin air,,,,,those doing the seeking have to take the first steps, which for the adoptees birth family its a legal step by step process.which will involve some costs to them.if they are prepared to take that route.

Priscilla may have family ie "parents" that she does not wish to cause upset to or have a situation of a personal matter where no outside interference would be welcomed at this time.but it doesn't mean she wont want to search in the near future.

Its either sit it out with hope or move towards seeking an assited move.

Kay has put it in a nutshell.

Annabelle, you mention that there may be more children after 1966, one way you can narrow that down is to look at births on freebmd with Crump as mothers name, and eliminate those that match with marriages in those surnames. I had a quick look between 1966 & 1976, Shrops and Staffs. No one in the same surnames as Tina. You should be able to discount some either by the corresponding marriages or location.

Update!!!. Last week Mum and I ordered her original Birth Certificate and this morning we received it wit a shock; THERE IS NO NAMED FATHER???.

Another price of the puzzle that has gone missing!.

Raymond Niblett passed years ago; No chance of knowing from his side.
William Hipkiss I am 75% sure he has passed.

As Mum said upon this revelation “Who is My Father”.

Given that your mum was born a year after Priscilla who was reg as both Hipkiss and Niblett ( as Marjory was still Mrs Niblett) then it's possible that your mum's father was Mr Hipkiss, but also possible it was someone else entirely. Probably not Tina's father as she is listed as Niblett and Fowler.

Yes, Tina and Ian have the same dad (Fowler). In honesty it’s put a lot into place as to why there were issues when we found siblings. I think it’s good that Marjory isn’t here today as I think she would have a lot of explaining to do; not only to My Mum but all the others!!. My Mum and I have the mutual feeling that Marjory was let’s say very Free spirited and highly fertile (that’s for sure). This tbh is I think the end of searching as we have found the eldest and she is going to speak to mum at some point.

From the birth certificate does it have----Adopted written on it,if so,then its possible christian names one or both have been changed on adoption and certainly the surname. So contacting someone with that birth name in the media or other isn't going to be the right lady.

Annabelle, if you and your mum have decided not to search further at the moment for Priscilla, (which it sounds like you have?) just a reminder don't delete your account entirely or this thread, so that if Priscilla then looks for you she will be able to make contact. You could also put a 'postem' message on her birth reg on freebmd.org.uk giving a specific email address if she wants to make contact, in case she looks there in the future.
