Logically, one of Trevor's parents was reputed to be the man's illegitimate child

My goodness I am overwhelmed by the very thoughtful responses from Shirley and Erika. I thank you both so much for your kindness. My father was born out of wedlock. A little more meat here comes from a paternity suit that my grandmother Winifred May Burborough filed against a man she claimed had "assaulted" her. The term in those days was much more delicate. Whether that claim is true will never be known I am sure. There are 8 pages of court transcripts regarding the paternity suit, I believe somewhere in an Exeter record office. I would love to have a copy of that 'back and forth' for details. Regardless she lost the paternity suit. I have followed the purported Newton family connection forward and came so close to assistance from a 'purported' cousin (grandchild also of Clifford Abraham Newton). I had requested photographs of her grandfather to see if a physical resemblance might have been carried on with my father but then I feel that I was 'too close to the fire' and all correspondence stopped after I sent her photos of my self and my father. Other purported relatives who were also grand children of Clifford Abraham Newton did not respond to my inquiries. I did not even reach the level of DNA comparisons. So, I am trying to find any public photo since private photos probably will never be made available to me. I was aware of the will but am highly doubtful any mention was made concerning my father now deceased. The court case was indeed very bitter and major denial of the "assault" or even a casual/consensual relationship. Really quite intriguing but it does lock out 25% of my ancestry. Again I thank you both for going far beyond whatever I may have expected.
