I'm looking for descendants of Captain Edward Pratt,who was a magistrate and judge in 1920'S Singapore & Malaya.I dont know when he was born,name of wife and children.I know he was retired from Singapore in 1930.I don't know names of his parents too.

Edward had treated Eliza and children "with great unkindness and cruelty" for several years.
1880, at Boulogne, France, he had dragged Eliza up the stairs, pushed her down and pulled her hair.
Summer 1881, Southampton, Hants, pushed he against the wall, swung her round and tore the sleeve of her dress.
1884 onwards, he refused to occupy the same bedroom as Eliza. (You would think she would be glad of that!)
Summer 1885, at 15 Forest Hill Road, he pushed her about, knocked her against the table, and threw a jug full of water over her.
March 1886, at 15 Forest Hill Road, he threatened to crush her head, and said that she deserved to be kicked out of doors.
He frequently insulted, abused, and threatened her, and "kept her without servants, and without clothing and without money, and insisted upon offensive and uncleanly arrangements in the household".
When teaching his children their lessons he spat upeon their exercises, and dragged the girl about by the hair.
He frequently threatened and beat his children "with great cruelty and called them vile names".
15 March 1889, 15 Forest Hill Road, he swore at Eliza, beat his daughter Julia, and caused Eliza to have an attack of hysteria.

22 April 1889, left Eliza without means of support.
By reason of " his ill treatment and misconduct as aforesaid" Eliza's health was greatly impaired.

Ok,thanks.Captain Edward Pratt didn't served in India before.He was served in Straits Settlements - Singapore & Malaya as magistrate,judge and retired in 1929.Went back to England.He was married.But I don't have any information about his parents,wife or children.I don't know when he was died too.

He was barrister of the Middle Temple.I suspect he was a son of Antwerp Edgar Pratt(1852-1924).
