Update 2

Bournemouth crematorium have been really helpful, they have just confirmed that my father was cremated on 3rd March 1993 at Bournemouth crematorium.

His ashes were sent to Anfield Liverpool at the request of his partner Sandra Morley.

I appreciate the support and guidance of this thread, it has been an overwhelming 24 hours.

GR do not let you know about replies on your thread(s).
You have to keep looking back at the threads.

To find your old threads in future, click "My threads" in the Tools menu on the left , and then "My threads - started" at the top of the resulting list.
