For Catherine Elizabeth Bowman born 1887 ish Nottingham
But just wondered if she could turn up 1911
Like it was said it could be a miss print

Anyway Marriage Certificate states
Henry Marriott 46 years old Widower General Carter father ??Marriott
Catherine Elizabeth Bowman 31 years old Spinster Father William Bowman

Henry Marriott had children by his first marriage = Ada Leslie and Lillian
That's all we know
Henry and Catherine Marriott are on the 1939 Register living at Rye Street Nottingham

21 October 1916 - Nottingham Evening Post - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

DISGRACE TO CIVILISATION.
NOTTINGHAM COUPLE SENT TO GAOL. A shocking story was told at the Nottingham Guildhall, to-day, when Henry Marriott, 42, miner, and Catherine Bowman, 27, of Vane-street, Radford Woodhouse, were charged with neglecting their five children. A police constable told the magistrates that the house was in an indescribably filthy condition. The children were in rags, two sleeping on a straw mattress which was dilapidated and dirty. The youngest child aged four months was fed from an evil smelling bottle...
It was stated that Marriott was idle, and could often be seen about the streets, when the pit at which he was employed was at work. He was utterly careless and indifferent regarding the welfare of his children, for he left them knowing there was no food in the house
Sentencing the man to six months, and the woman to three months imprisonment...

I can't see a Marriott / Thurman marriage - anyway, he was single in 1901 and married Louisa in 1902 - wouldn't have had time to marry anyone else.

Yes that is Henry Marriot and his 2nd wife to be they were married 1919 @ The Register Office Nottingham
I will go and get the News Paper Artical Henry Marriott and Catherine Marriott Grandaughter will be shocked!!

This all stated today by a relative of Henry Marriotts
I have be looking for the Marriages of the children
Found William T Marriott married to Edith E Esden 1937 Nottingham

Anyway on Ancesrty co uk Edith E Esden was on the some ones Family Tree
Edith Esden was Married to Thomas William Marriott 1937 his Father was
Henry Marriot and Mother Louisa Grainger
They were married 1902 Nottingham

Henry's first wife !!

Have yet to find William and Edith on the 1939 Register

Just one more thing Leslie Marriot born 1904 was in the Royal Navy for many years will have to luck
