I would like to know what information the 1930 united states federal census washington area holds for a John Perrett born c1885.
He emmigrated in 1906 and i have found the ship passage and have his army details. His full name is John Burr Perrett and in the two above mentioned details has occupation butcher

I see there is a John Perrett born c 1885 and is from England listed but i cannot see other details and wondered if someone could kindly have a look for me please

Is that Washington DC or Washington state? Who should be with him?..Wife...children?

Lisa thankyou so much for retreiving this information, I will have to research a bit more as i am not sure about this one.
I did find a John B Per(r)ett in the 1920 census washington snohomis who was down as a butcher and i think this was him.

hi lisa, the army details i have are particulars of recruit drafted under military service act 1917.

i have also had the army file photocopied and sent to me.

1920 - Fairfield, CT
John L. Berrett/Birrett or possibly Perrett/Pierrett
No immigration date. Clerk, Post Office.

Sorry they are dated 1918, in fact he was discharded from the army later in 1918 for ill health

The John mentioned in 1930 was born April 30, 1886, Weston Super Mare, England, father George Perrett. His name was John Lewis Perrett.

Mine was from Hindon in Wiltshire, his father was also a George Perrett but this one does not look like mine. On his army papers it says my John was born in Dublin Ireland, I'm not sure why he put that as his family definetly come from Wiltshire and I have his birth certificate

my johns birth on certificate says 4th november 1885 but on army info says 4th nov 1884

Hmmmm...the 1918 attestation paper shows his birth as Ireland.

this looks more like it as it mentions butcher.

I will need to do some more investigating.

I am not sure why he gave his birth place as ireland as his birth as John Burr says Hindon
