Find Ancestors

Tracing my gt-gt grandad john wood found him in 1881 and 1851 but no where else no birth record, but going on age at death believe to be 1809.
Looks like he has several sons and two daughters. One Phebe is my gt-gran Anyone come across them.

my goodness he named his twins Jacob and Esaw , isn' t that tempting fate ?!

The birth certificate for one of them if you find the birth at FreeBMD should give Phoebe's family name which could help .

Some details i have are Johns wife died at Hunslet nr Leeds
and John at moore lane Brierley hill. From what i have got i believe he was born Dudley ? but as stated cant find him prior to 1851. :-) :-)

Answer to ? where i got deaths dates from. Not ancestry but from family bible handwritten by Phebe Elizabeth stating dates times and were buried.

Petford is the 1841 census that I posted not the right family? you say you can' t find John before 1851 ...... ? I think that is them.

If John died at Brierley Hill then the baptism there that I added to the thread is his son ..... ?
