Maurice Blake age 34 was married to Doris Ethel Taylor on 19th April 1930 in Worthing Sussex . His address at time of marriage is 3 Stockwell Park Walk Brixton London. His Father is George Blake Retired Civil Servant. |

There are a few George Blakes in 1939, who are described as retired civil servant, or just retired, or OAP - and as we have no idea where he was living, or if he was still alive in 1939, it's impossible to say if any of them is Maurice's father. |

More information. Maurice had an older sister Kathleen Blake born 30th November 1889. Baptised on 28th December 1889 in Rangoon Burma Bengal India. Father George. Mother Mary. Thanks Pam |

The accurate facts for my Maurice Blake are that he was born on 22nd January 1896 Burma, India. He died in 1978 Cuckfield West Sussex England. He attended the Ealing Grammar School in 1911. His occupation was Clerk in Civil Service. He married Doris Ethel Taylor on 19 April 1930. His Parents are George Blake and Mary Ann Bartholomew married 8th August 1888. His Sister Kathleen Blake was born 30th November 1889. India. There is also another Brother Frederick born 5th July 1894 Rangoon India and baptised 26th August 1896. Kathleen did not marry . |

So - forgive me but 'if' the 1911 census is 'your' Maurice then Patrick is back in there ??? - Personally, I am not sure that the 1911 'Maurice' is yours - perhaps they were all related and therefore went along to the same schools when they came to England ? |
