Info here about getting Isle of Man certificates:

https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Isle_of_Man_Civil_Registration

Findagrave website says the date 19 Sept 1945 was the date of burial - not the date of death.

funny thing is, I can only find one Francis sanders born in 1914 in Bradford. Have I got that wrong? :-(

thanks for that I've sent for the certificate. I wonder how he got back to the UK, would it be aboard ship? I did hear rumour he was in prison in the isle of man but may be wrong about that one too. I'll maybe find out once the certificate comes.
Thanks again :-)

does anyone know where the prisons are on the isle of man and would it be normal to imprison there someone from the UK? :-(

The one who died in Bradford in 1987 had no second forename, and his probable birth was given to you on page one

To find where on the Isle of Man the prison is……google

Thankyou. got the death certificate and he didn't die in prison but was working as a porter in a hotel. No Idea why he was in isle of man. But he didn't die in prison. He had diabetes. His dad John was there at the time so he may have been poorly in hosputal for a time.
Thanks for all the helpful info :-)

I expect he went for the sake of work, possibly seasonal at the hotel.

yes Thankyou, that was probably it. Or maybe he and his wife split and he went away to move on. :-(
