I think the Little house must be one of P Gregory's older books, in fact I am sure I have read it some time way back. I have so far been unable to find it in any of the book shops so will now have to look at amazon.

Is anyone else having trouble finding it?

Clan of the Cave Bear" by Jean M Auel

This is a lovely book, quite different from the run of the mill stories, although the two sequels are a bit long, and boring.
She seems to rewrite the story, although you would have to read them to finish the tale....
A lot of reading, but worth it in the end.
I read them many years ago.
Enjoy.

Just ordered the little house from Amazon, £2.76 including postage so very good, not new but in good condition.

I read the Clan of the Cave Bear about 16+ years ago and remember it was a good book, I also have read the sequels and I agree there were some very long descriptive passages in them that were very boring and although they did sort of move the story on but not in the same way as ther first one.

What is Greaders ! is this a book club started by Ann?

Small blonde Angel

Small blonde Angel Report 26 Jul 2009 20:27

Yes it is and it is good as it makes me read books I would not normally do and I find I enjoy them.

Yes,
Greaders is a book club, we each suggest two books and vote for the two we would like to read, not voting for our own books. We have 6 weeks to read them or one of them, then we review them. Nothing heavy. If you are interested you can join in now and read one or both current books.
