Another of those defining parenting moments......

Eldest (almost 9) has just shown enthusiasm for the first time about going on her first sleepover at her friends house.

GULPS

Just waiting to speak to the girls Mum first to verify the details........

I want to turn the clock back a few years...... I don't like all this :0(

She's going for a sleepover not a rave, are they still playing in the street or was that a one off?
Come on they will thankyou for it in the long run, x

Seriously though. If you know and trust the parents as well as the kids , she will be fine.

Marion lmao

Muffy, they're right you know. It's not easy but you have to loosen the apron strings a bit at a time. That way they grow up to become independant, well adjusted adults capable of making their way in the world and not scared of their own shadow. Not easy I know, I've been there but it has to be done.

Yeah still playing out the front though I'm more relaxed about taking my eyes off them than i was at the start.

LOL yeah cheers Marion....*puts tongue in cheek*....failing that I'll encourage her to water it down a bit

I know you're right Cat......and it's only going to get worse I know lol xx

Muffy - OMG that's awful. If your 9 year old goes to a sleepover - then (oh horror of horrors) you've got to have a return sleepover at your house :(((
