My 7 year grand daughter has been having sleepovers at her friends house for two years!
My daughter's also had 'mixed' sleepovers from about the age of 8.
When they had them in their teens - everyone slept downstairs in sleeping bags on the living room floor - and the loo is downstairs - through the living room.

Guess who had a 'bladder' problem on those nights!! LOL

Well mine is 48 this year and I still want to know where she is, what she is doing etc and she lives an hour and a half away so she could tell me anything!!!
And then there are the Grandchildren, boy it hurts when they grow up and are not children any more!

Yeah she's a sensible girl Ann.......and as far as I'd trust a 9 yr old I'd trust her lol ...and the mother has 3 older daughters who are as good as gold......HARD to let go though xx

AnninGlos Report 20 Aug 2009 21:16

I am sure it does them good, builds their confidence to be away from you for a night. We never had anything like it when our children were young but I have watched Grandsons go through it. As you've all said, as long as you know the mother and trust her.

You have a deal stray lol.

Thank you Kay.......MWAH ....i'm with you on that .......thing is.......she has a school trip in the next school year where she will be away for 5 nights and I think this is good practise for that.PLUS I have never pushed her to do anything like this.....always left it to her to tell me she is ready.

The clincher is her friend has a new kitten ......and knowing that I've put the block on any more cats........that's the hook lol xx
