Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 17 Sep 2009 09:38

with Jamie, my waters didn't break at all, I woke up in labour but it stopped around lunchtime. when I got up and walked to the kitchen to wash up, I was nearly floored as it came back so hard. headed off to the hospital (this was 4 days before Xmas) and we were left alone as it was so busy. I was virtually pushing (we thought he was going to be born with the sac intact) when they suddenly went and he literally shot out facing sideways within about 2 minutes.
I wouldn't say it was any more or less painful than Charlotte - I managed with gas and air for both - but I was a bit disappointed that they did break at the last minute as it's quite unusual for babies to be born with the amniotic sac intact - would have been something to see!

Hi Muffy, all labours are different, I can only wish you one like all mine. All five of my babys came out with the waters, last one, twenty minutes,11 pounds, not a stich.

First one two hours, 81/2 lbs not a stich. All others similar.

Hope all goes well, Nina from filthy Sheffield
