Dear Ladies

Hello

Can I be the fairy godmother?
But with a modern twist.

Bad tempered, with fiery red hair, plumpish and no wand.
I'll just click my fingers to get things done!

Best wishes to all
xx

I will have to adapt my Christmas board name, ...I'll give it some thought.
Usually I am some sort of bell or bell sound.

Not until after my birthday, Daff :-)
And even then I'll leave it a few days; and no doubt I shall be Joy to the world as usual.

certainly does Elvie - be no Christmas at all otherwise!!!!

MrDaff

MrDaff Report 7 Oct 2009 16:07

Absolutely does, Elvie.... I shall be thanking God for this Christmas, because I so nearly didn't have a last Christmas... and almost didn't have an Easter this year.

Also... one doesn't need to be a Christian to enjoy Christmas...... I have in-laws from other religions and cultures, and they also enjoy it, look forward to it..... and some may even be spending the holiday with me... they love the atmosphere.

Please remember that Christmas was originally a Pagan festival that was hijacked .... it has always had a spiritual meaning even in pre-Christian Celtic days.

Finally.......my looking forward to Christmas, and whether Christianity is involved, has nothing whatever to do with you... if you think I am pagan, hedonoistic, or materialistic, I quite frankly couldn't care less. I will enjoy Christmas my way, with or without your approval.

Now, that is off my chest!

Now... Ann.... thank you... yeh, I know. It was all the prayers and positive thoughts from all of the wonderful people on here that kept me going... and Him Upstairs definitely heard you all, lol!! Here I am, beating all the odds and statistics, lol! Oh, and moustache hardly budged, even with all that chemo, lol Bald as a coot everywhere else, though.

Elizabeth., I think there was a fairy godmother last year..... one with attitude.... can't remember.... but I'm sure there is room for more!

OK, Joy.... is your birthday before 1st December?????

Jeniwren... I like Jenijingles.... HalloDonna, I like that, but robins argue ;¬))

~~~~~~~ to PollyPoppet
Gwyn... shall we help you?
I am sooooo excited!! I have written a list of prezzies.... those I am going to buy, not my wish list... that is just to have both of my sons and my two granddaughters here, at home, on Christmas Day... now that would be PERFECT!! lol
