I always buy a bag of mixed sweets things .But we haven't had callers for a few years.We live in a very quiet road with no young children.So I can eat all the sweeties lol.Then I feel sick !!!.I don't give money.

I never give money either. If I did I'd have the older teenagers knocking the door down.

I LOVE dressing up; missed out as a kid. We didn't do Hallowe'en thenaday.

Back in the day, when I was a Brownie, we had a Hallowe'en party - in the local Church hall!

No, I am not giving out sweets and our saucepan lids(kids!) are not knocking on peoples doors.

Its a gimmick and frightens a lot of people.

The old festival of samhain commerated on this day has been widely forgot.

Staying in with the lights off. lol No children at all in the close where I live. Where I lived before in a nice road of detached and semi detached houses and bungalows, my retired neighbour not only got the egg treatment on halloween, they fired airguns and made holes in his windows too. Seems to encourage bullying by the thug element so no wonder some old folk are very worried by it. Parents seem scared to death of paedophiles one minute, yet encourage their kids to go knocking on strangers doors?? I wish they'd ban it.
