usually I use a well known brand and leave it on about 30 minutes...this one says only 10 ......wonder if that will work....!
anyone used a prominent chemist's own brand/

I don't Rose but I'd only leave it on for the ten if it were me.

They may use stronger accelerators or peroxide than the other brand hence the difference in time stated.

Can't you try a section of hair first to see if it works? I'd make it ten minutes if that's what it says, but worthwhile testing first.

I've never dyed my hair so i'm not much help!

I can't understand destructions for anything.... and you know how it is.... you have to keep shoving glasses on so you can read.... they steam up in the bathroom.... no.... destructions are no use at all!

back lol....and Daff you are so right about the glasses...I have to take them off to read instructions, then put them on to see where I'm slapping the dye....

I didn't like the feel of my hair after the rinses but have put on loads of conditioner, I 'think' it's covered fairly well, its golden brown which is my natural colour , it is mainly the white at my temples that I have to cover , which is why I don't do a strand test lol if I cut it off there to do I would be unbalanced LOL ( no comments please ;)

Is there someone you can practice on first!!!! I have never been brave enough to do my own,and rely on my trusted hairdresser.

Jane, I have done it a few times...I wouldn't risk it if I was changing the colour drastically, especially as my hair is long and I would miss bits at the back :)

Home, about £12 for two lots of dye (lots of hair) and a £22 cut n blowdry

Home dye wins....

this was even cheaper TW £2.99 a box lol

oh i used the boot's own brand but it i never did what it said on the packet...my grey's never actually went dark brown but a shade of ginger,

do they still have them in Barbara...i prefer dark brown/black colours "E"

Rose, I used to use Nice n Easy permanent one but for a year now have used the ten minute one which is Herbashine I think, around £4 + but easier to use, altho I always put mine on with a tinting brush after mixing in a bowl, rather than use their applicator. It fades naturally so I use it every couple of months or longer. I use an ash blonde one but because I always had a lot of red in my hair so therefore red pigment it comes out strawberry blonde/pale ginger for the first few washes till it tones down a bit. They recommend using Fructis shampoo to preserve the colour and it's on offer at the mo in Budgens.

Good luck, hope the colour worked ok. I have to say it takes me longer than ten minutes to apply it due to my fm and shoulder problems but is fine, I did an allergy test the first time I used it but that was all. As you know, I hadn't coloured my hair for the Liverpool meet so am very grey.

I must have a look at the Aldi one tho as that is cheaper still
