Rose, Janey and others, I too have those very light areas by my temples and they seem to grow faster than the rest of my hair lol so show more quickly. I had my first grey hair at 16, someone kindly pointed it out at school! I know my mother went grey early and so did my brothers. |

Oh you've done it. I was going to suggest that you do the temples first, as they are the worst area, then do the rest. That way, you give the greyest bits a bit longer to take :-) |

What happens, you see, Muffy, is that eventually you get enough of the blighters that you no longer really give a crap what colour it comes out, as long as the white blighters are whatever colour it is! |

I found my first grey on my 38th birthday.......and the blighters are multiplying like crazy.......tried permanent colour but don't like it......will dabble soon with the semi permanents just to cover them. I'm only just getting away with it au naturel but I won't for much longer !! xx |

lol Janey, my friend L spotted my first white hair when I was 27 , ...I swear caused by a traumatic love affair lol ...it is has progressed quite slowly and one day I shall stop the dyeing and let it go like my mum's hair hopefully...which had soft streaks that money really couldn't buy :) |

Rose, I used to use Nice n Easy permanent one but for a year now have used the ten minute one which is Herbashine I think, around £4 + but easier to use, altho I always put mine on with a tinting brush after mixing in a bowl, rather than use their applicator. It fades naturally so I use it every couple of months or longer. I use an ash blonde one but because I always had a lot of red in my hair so therefore red pigment it comes out strawberry blonde/pale ginger for the first few washes till it tones down a bit. They recommend using Fructis shampoo to preserve the colour and it's on offer at the mo in Budgens. |
