Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 24 Oct 2009 23:22

Hi
Not a usual visitor to Chat but been looking in for a couple of days after some Hoo ha!!
Anyway that beasty Cillit bang gave pink stains on the white toilet seat after I sprayed it and left it to soak whist i cleaned the shower.Nothing would shift the stain and it looked decidedly orf,if you get my drift,!! I bought some Domestos Grot Buster which spells heavily of bleach and is very powerful, a couple of soaks with that and the Pink Staining was gone.

Shirley your a diamond two fold!!!!!

Firstly I am not the only person to turn something White, Pink with the dreaded stuff and secondly you have a tried and tested solution!!

I'll buy some tomorrow - I cant make it any worse!!

Two tone loo seat eh? At least it wasnt a yellow stain that would have been most embarresing!

Welcome to the chat board :)

CB is well nasty, same happend with my loo seat too. The bleach idea sounds the best. Good luck with it....

CB should be stuck in the bin, and Barry with it....

I agree CB is quite nasty. It's the only cleaning product that has irritated my skin.
I thought it read Fringe too. Pictured a lovely bright hair do.

Hi

I found a load of pink marks on the front of my white dishwasher.....must have been something my OH was using and splashed over it (might as well blame him, I usually do! lol).......I tried neat bleach etc etc and nothing would remove them until my sister said to try Magic Eraser.

It's like a hard block of sponge and you just cut off the amount you want. It worked like a dream, I just rubbed gently until all the marks had gone and it didn't damage the paint on the door at all. I bought it in W*lkinsons and it wasn't very expensive and lasts for ages.

I tried the Magic Eraser and its worked sort off, the stains are still there but very faint now, you have to look twice to see them - thanks for that brilliant Idea.

I still have the Magnetic White board on the way lol.
