lol Uggers, subtle again :-))

I am not saying YOU are as thick as the proverbial, in fact I am not saying anyone is thick as the proverbial. That's because I haven't spoken with anyone who supports the BNP and therefore cannot judge.

I was in the midst of anti English feeling nearly 30 years ago and you would be surprised at how many seemingly ordinary, rational people were quite happy to support an extremist party!

You tell me when burning English owned properties became acceptable?.... but it did!

I can only speak from experience.

BTW I am talking to someone on another site about BNP, apparently they have targeted that particular area for several years , with leaflets, campaigning etc , re their promises to provide more housing , being tougher on crime, ( they even support Greenpeace ;) and animal rights lol...lighter on the irony you think? ) ....

racially motivated crime has also soared in the same period..... which is of course entirely co-incidental........

Rose, re the stats: of those who emmigrated a large proportion will be the oldies who have gone off to Costa del Pensioners or similar. They will of course still be drawing their pensions and in some cases benefits. If they also maintain a UK postal address they can return to avail themselves of NHS services.

Just cruising google Sue lol ...here's an interesting little snippet

"More British live abroad than any other nationality. There are 41 countries with more than 10,000 British living there and another 71 countries with more than 1,000."

Rose, does that say something about Britain or the people who have left? I wonder how many are transient on - contracts etc.,? I guess those who had been naturalised they wouldn't be included in those stats either!

Fancy Guatemala or Venezuela, those I can arrange? Afraid West Wales is a bit chilly this time of year!
