2 smartly dressed men knocked at her door saying they had come to check her gas and electric, she asked for ID they had none, she told them thats the end of convo then lads, they ask if who her supplier was ....she said you tell me?.........they said Southern electic...mum said nahhh you got the wrong house.....she started to ask them questions and they left, she called the warden to tell her to warn others....the police were there in no time loads of them mum said....and they told her how brave she is...so she is feeling pretty pleased with herself, BUT you now when your blood boils and if you could just get your hands on them......the low lifes..grrrrr

She sounds like one smart lady to me .......I hope she managed to scare them out of her area before they got to fool someone less quick witted : (

Thats what she was worried about, when my sister contacted the police not nowing what was going on, the police operator told her there was sheds loads of police on the way up.....my mum lives ona OAP estate so its a target for bogus callers ....least they will may be scared off now...

We had some men around last year who were studying the houses opposite, and OH asked what they were looking for. The one said he was waiting for a mate but didnt know a name or which house. He came back and told me, and I photographed the car with noumber plate. Then called the police.\when they eventually came I gave them the photo and they were able to trace it to some cold calling double glazing salesmen.
