I used to live in Formby and we visited the "squirrel reserve" regularly. Formby residents are on "grey" watch and have to report any sightings of them to the rangers. The Formby by -pass even has a couple of rope bridges over the dual carriageway to allow the reds to cross safely!!.

Where I live in North Wales we only have greys although I believe the is a reserve for reds on Anglesey.

It has to be Red one's. They are so cute. When we lived in Germany the nearby Tierpark (Zoo) they had 2 white squirrels they were so adorable.

I like them both, but I live up the road to a forest and I only ever see grey Squirrels.

Dont like them ....the little sod's vandalise my bird feeders. I gave up feeding the birds early this year as the squirrels were happily robbing the feeders

When I visited England in 1997 I saw several grey ones, but the only red one I saw was lying on the road on his back with his tummy in the sun - dead.

Mick, you can keep your possums, horrid creatures they are, ruining our bush. I have helped to dispatch quite a few of them - nasty creature you will now think me. They also rob the nests of our endangered Kokako. B***** Aussie overstayers. Please come and take them all home with you.
