I should really buy one Amanda. Last night I was up and down, first to put on a thicker nightie, then I put on 2 pairs of socks, then my b*m was cold so I got up again to put some knicks on. It was about 4am when I finally got to sleep.

Had to laugh at this thread Amanda, and other replies,
I have just turned mine out, thinking exactly the same,
its so cold tonight,brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I have a cover on mine, its a little furry sheep,
which the grandchildren call Dave,
I looked at hubby just now and said Im going to bed with Dave,
he looked confused for a second, and then laughed his head off.

Keep warm everyone.!!!!!!!!

I have one of them thingies that you heat up in the microwave - and it's wonderful. Keeps the heat for a long time with no worry about leakage.

Lovely jubbly................

Winter Drawers Ever Near Report 19 Dec 2009 23:58

My hot water bottle is my best friend in this weather.

The cover has a sheepskin lining and the bottle is still warm in the morning.

One of my better buys.

I don't need a hot water bottle, have three cuddly, warm cats to share my bed, trouble is,I get about a foot at the edge, and I darn't move in case I disturb them.

Alice in Wonderland Report 20 Dec 2009 00:13

Ha, I know the problem - I wake up in the morning like an Eygptian mummy - snoozing cats (3) , who object to being moved!!

Work of art to get out of bed (lol)!

This so reminds me of my Nan. My Grandad died when I was 15 and I used to stay with my Nan 3/4 nights each week. She used to put on as many clothes as she took off when she went to bed. Hot, stone jar, wrapped in a towel put in bed 1/2 hour before bed time.

Glass of Mackesons warmed with the poker, followed by a hot tot of scotch, purely for medicinal purposes. lol, just before the jar went into the bed.

Well remember her sorting hrough some photos one night and chucking loads into thje fire. aaaarrgh!!!

Love you Nanny Jin. xx
