As you know,I do have some funny tastes in sandwiches.

Has anybody tried the sandwich spread and peanut butter? Thought not.

Now I am into, piccalilli, Haywards pickles and salad.

Peanut butter OR sandwich spread, but not together for me.
I might put cheese with the latter.

You can keep your piccalilli and pickle, but I do like most chutneys.

Allan

Allan Report 28 Mar 2020 21:07

Cheddar cheese and strawberry jam also marry nicely

I remember one of Fred's carers had a jar of plum jam, made with the plums he had brought in, and she put it in a sandwich with cold pork.

Allan

Allan Report 28 Mar 2020 22:40

Most people think of pork and apples, or any combination of those two, but plums are also nice with pork and should not be reserved solely for duck

Peanut butter and marmite.

And I love a teacake with cheese spread and marmite.

I'm beginning to feel grateful that I only communicate with some people on the Web and can't visit them to partake of afternoon tea, as much as I would like to meet the actual person :-D :-D :-D
