That woman on 100% English who threatened them with legel action. I think someone is biiter that she isn't completly English.

There was some woman who was the leader of the 'English-Ethnic Heritage' She had a DNA Test, and it said she was quite a high % Middle Eastern. A few days later she threatened the show with legal action, and said that the test was too inaccurate. I dont think she liked the fact that she wasn't 100% English.

I was under the impression that Welsh people are more English (in the true sense of the meaning) than most English people. Weren't they pushed into Wales by the Normans (or some other invaders) lol

It's ancient history lol The point is the people that they see as English (ie people who live in England) aren't the true English lol They were all pushed into Wales by the Normans or maybe it was the Romans or maybe both (I'm probably wrong -surely there is an expert on here lol)

Norman Tebbitt was the most English along with Carol Thatcher, although she had some other percentage as well.Middle eastern I think. Out of the 8 people tested the rest were a heinz variety of eastern Russian, Ukraine, native American, Turkish and even a chinese. To look at them all, you would say they were totally English as they were all convinced they were. The Anglo Saxon woman had a high percentage of romany blood as well. Takes all sorts ! Lynda x

Re the comments about the Welsh etc. The English arrived in the UK in the years following the Romano-British period (from about 450 onwards). The existing Celtic population was gradually pushed back by English settlers to the margins (Wales, Cornwall and also Brittany) so to speak. Most Celtic place names were lost, but Rivers like the Thames, Avon etc retain their Celtic names. Denis.

Red-haired is Celtic, and Blonde hair is Scandivian. I've got Strawberry-Blonde hair, so i'm somewhere in the middle .lol

I was suprised that in the 'European Test' it included Southern Asian. I think it's all to do with Geography and Immigration. I suppose the Southern Asian, and the East Asian didnt really mix, because of the Mountains in the way. lol
