Do you want to be buried or cremated, and why?

Paul

Paul Report 30 Oct 2006 21:40

I want to be buried, but not in a graveyard. I'd love to be buried in my back gardenm under the willow tree.

I definately need to be buried. At least it shows I existed, and I can have a chat with whoever turns up to tend my grave, hopefully

I dont like the thought of being cremated. I want to think that there would be something left of me. Thats why I want to be buried. More use to the enviroment when you're buried. If creepy crawlies eat me, so be it. Life will go on. But Graveyards seem to cold a place.

Woman, down the road from us had her horse buried in her garden. Then when she died a few years later, they got special permission & buried her next to it!!

Paul Report 30 Oct 2006 21:58

Ahhh, thats really nice. I'd like to be buried with my pets, mainly cos they're my life. Obviously, i'd want them to die before they're buried next to me. lol

Am equally as scared of waking up in a box under six foot of earth as waking up in a fire (also of drowning which i've nearly done before) so have told my mum that if anything happens to me, my organs are to be donated and she can do what she likes to the leftovers as long as she plants a tree (preferably a cherry blossam) on me so I can live forever as a tree. She on the other hand does not want to be cremated incase she wakes up in the fire.

I have a phobia of being buried alive if i'm being honest. BUT there are so many tests to make sure you are dead, there is no need to worry. However, I heard that there was some guy that was so scared of being buried alive, that he got an alarm fitted to his coffin. Cant blame him tbh.
