Most Haunted is one of my favourite shows, I love it!!! I think David on Most Haunted is fantastic as most of the information he comes out with tends to be correct. I do believe that there is something in it but havent experienced it myself. Go for it you never know what you might find out!!! |

Yes I agree - try a Spiritualist Church. You have nothing to fear and there is a great feeling of friendship and love there. Sylvx |

When my mum died young many years ago, I went to a medium at The Spiritual Association of Great Britain. She gave me great comfort and wise words; absolutely nothing scary about it at all. There is a part of - what can you call it - subconscious, memory, soul, spirit etc. - that is out there in the void; certain people can tap in to that energy i.e. mediums. Sylvx |

Well here goes.....I'm retired now, well semi, but I was a police officer and worked many night shifts and went into many dark places but never saw anything. In my first month as a young innocent bobby I was working at a small nick near the Lancashire coast, it was July a warm sticky night and about 2am. (gulps!) We were in shirt sleeves and suddenly a husband and wife with two young kids came rushing into the station in their dressing gowns. The lady was beside herself and the kids crying. Eventually calmed them down. The lady told us they had moved into this new semi a few months before and things started to go bump in the night. Pictures fell off the wall. Objects moved downstairs from one place to another.Because it was a warm night they had the curtains open a little and the window open. She said the bedroom went very cold and she could see her breath as if it was a frosty night. She saw an impression of a hand on the duvet and the bed was pressed down on her side. That was it she was up and they left the house and ran to the station a few hundred yards away. I was sent up with another chap to have a look!!!!!!! |

Used to have things moved, bumps etc. in the top room of my old house in Battersea. It became my son's bedroom. When he was about 10, he often saw things move and one night (and he wasn't dreaming) he saw a lst World War soldier in complete uniform pass through the room and jump out of the window. The house was built in the 1880s so possibly a spirit from the past had come back to see all was well. Sylvx |

.....when we arrived the lights were on and the front door open. We went in..... the house was freezing, you could see your breath even though it was a warm sticky night outside. We had a quick look, saw nothing, locked the house and left. I have never felt anything like it before or since. It got in the local paper and a priest performed some ritual a few days later. The couple sold the house and the lady in question would never go back inside. Don't blame her! It was weird...... |

Do you think the person buying the house knew the reason the family were selling? |

Brian | Report | 19 Oct 2006 12:34 |
They can't have done, would you buy the house if you knew the history? |

Good point. But I thought with all the publicity they might have had some idea. I would love to visit a haunted house at night. |

I know the poice have used mediums in the past but I have no experince of such things. I do watch that programme in Oz and Nz where they try and solve murders and missing people. They were very good and homed right in on the people and places. |

There has to be something in it. After my grandads funeral we all went back to my auntys house and were reminiscing about my grandad when all the lights went out. The electric was still on just the lights and all in different rooms. Someone checked the circuit breaker but that was fine and within a couple of minutes they came back on. No one could work out what had occured. But a few relatives are convinced it was my grandad letting us know he was there. I just remembered about that event and his funeral was 14 years ago. |

I lost a lot of family in the 1970's, my wife, a daughter, father grandparents and wondered how much emotion it would stir up if I went now. I probably will when I pluck up the courage. |
