Poor. poor girl. I lost 2 work colleagues to bone cancer - both secondaries after a mastectomy. My uncle also had bone cancer - gave him 6 - 12 weeks. he almost made the 12. My thoughts are with your friend, her family and all their friends - someone taken so young has repercussions on the lives and dreams of so many. Jay |

Misdiagnosis is something that should not happen these days, and I can't begin to imagine what your colleague and her family are going through right now, knowing she might not have had to be in this tragic situation. My heart breaks for them and for the other people in similar situations mentioned on here, those little children who will not have the childhood they deserve and their parents dreamed for them and the partners who have to carry on and help the children cope, while grieving themselves. What a cruel world we live in with these tragic twists of fate and error, bickering is pathetic when others are in such dire straits. Bless these poor folk, I wish them support and hope their pain can be controlled so they can enjoy their last weeks with their families. If only miracles really happened ... Liz |

thoughts and prayers go to this family. same thins happend a few years ago to my ex husbands sister in law. went to the doctor with a lump after having a baby, was told it was just a cyst caused by milk and died three months later, leaving her husband with a four month old and a three year old to care for on his own. my heart goes out to her and her husband. tina x |

this is awful how terrible sad for her babies and hubby, misdiagnosis is the bain of this country, it should never happen they (some docs) trivialise women and their concerns, and some are too scared to argue |

Hi Kris, It is when you hear of something like this that it put things that have happend into perspective! A young mother of two young children receiving such news is awful for her and the whole family. Betty |
