Lol Jenny. Do you go to open days at your fire station? They hold them around here in the summer. Perhaps I'll join you all in Wiltshire. I could check some rellies records in Swindon then. Gwyn... (Mum of an unmarried fireman) |

Kerry, my first Husband was in the Army. We were at Cheriton in Folkestone. All those hunky men in uniform going off to catch the coach first thing in a morning. Wow. Jenny. |

Have not been to one in ages, Gwyn. Think the last time was when I had the pub in Leeds. Really enjoyed that. Our Fire Station is only ten mins walk away. Think I'll pop up and see what I can pick up. Only joking. Lol. Jenny. |

Gwyne, I shall never forget the second morning of being down there. I was only eighteen. Arrived at married quarters on the Sunday. Hubby was on duty for 24 hours and was scared to death the second morning. Had been all on my own on the Monday/Monday night and the Tuesday. Did not know a soul. Opened the back door to find three squaddies in full combat and rifles on top of the outhouse at the side of the house. Looked out the front and they were everywhere. After a while realised they were on some exercise or other. Jenny. |

lol Ann, yes the uniform is lovely, but i`ll be going back to work in combats!! *sob* I love doing the parades, you get to see all the men in their No1s, and that uniform can make an unattractive man look good!! xxxx |
