Anyone out there go to London Clubs in the 1970's. Would love to hear from anyone who did. Especially if you went to The Experience Club, Greek Street in 1971. Formerly Le Poubelle. I loved that place. Anyone out there who can share memories with me?

Cheers Lynda

Hi Karen, great to hear from you. I certainly went to Thursdays in Ken High Street 1977-79. It was frequented by many Iranians. My friend Sue and I were up there dancing to "Saturday night Fever" disco songs. LOL

Also I used to go to the Empire in Leicester Square at about the same time. All sorts of Nationalities up there. I used to like Thursdays though. Would be interested to hear from you on any memories you have of Thursdays and the Empire. There was a Hippodrome in Charing X Rd - I think it is still there not sure if it is still called that though

By the way, which desert are you in Karen.

Kind regards, Lynda

In 1966/7 I had a few months of visiting London every weekend, from the sticks of wild Norwich lol when my then boyfriend was doing chef training at an hotel in Russell Sq. I would stay with a pal who had a bedsit in Victoria while she was studying in London, and my boyfriend would take me to Ronnie Scotts and Club 100 where I saw Humphrey Lyttleton and other wellknown artists including Elkie Brooks. One night we went back to her home in Hither Green with her, Pete Gage (her man of the time) and more people, and stayed overnight. The next morning loads more folk came round including Ebony Keyes? who was helping do some auditions for people to join a band. Was very exciting for someone from Norfolk!
Then I had an argument with boyfriend and told him to disappear rather rapidly!
Last I saw of him was standing on the platform at the station looking a bit taken aback!
